What a treat you are in for! There’s not much Emily and I don’t discuss in this episode – covering everything from the challenges of mothering and owning a business, through to the realities of marketing and what we’ve found works (and doesn’t work in our own businesses).
But in this blog post I want to give you some actionable strategies to attract clients as well as some powerful promotional tactics to use during launches, cover how to craft compelling messaging, and how to adapt to the evolving marketing landscape.
One of the biggest tools we neglect in our free marketing toolkit is personal outreach (perhaps coz it feels exactly that: PERSONAL. Daunting and perhaps a little too real. But it’s one of THE best ways to convert someone into a client/student/customer as it helps us to form genuine connections with real people as we get to understand their real needs and share real solutions are know will help them.
You know what will be your biggest friend in a launch? Repetition. It’s not a “fun” concept… honestly, it’s a little boring. But the reality is repeating your offer in multiple ways, multiple times over multiple platforms is going to be a powerful way to draw in customers or clients. Because the reality is – the online world is saturated, so if you want to stand out give yourself permission to get “annoying” and show up more than once. Because the reality is, even your most avid followers may not have even noticed your offer and even if they have they likely need reminding/convining to work out if this offer is for them!
Spend time regularly throughout your business journey making sure that your messaging is clear. Crafting messaging that is straight-to-the-point, and resonates with your target audience will help your business to communicate unambiguously, ensuring everyone that enters your world knows what you’re about and if you can help them.
