Me: Mum, I’m hiring a VA!
Mum: A what?
Me: A virtual assistant?
Mum: Huh? Like a computer assistant?
Me: No, like a personal assistant… but she’s not with me in person, she helps me online.
That is a bit of a glimpse into the convo I had with my mum a few months ago when I first hired a virtual assistant.
But it wasn’t a quick decision. I’d been thinking about it for a year or so but was never sure when the right time would be.. or if I had enough jobs to give a VA… or if I WANTED to hand things over to someone else (how could anyone else do something as good as I could??).
