You know the drill: you’re posting on Instagram, you’re following the “do more Reels” advice, and yet… your reach is meh.
Your saves are low.
Your profile visits are barely trickling in.
You’re doing the “right thing” but it’s not really working for you.
What if I told you the problem might not be that you’re doing the wrong format… it’s how you’re doing it.
In this episode, I’m sitting down with two incredible studio‑owners and coaches, Chloe & Vicki of The Movement Perspective. They turned what seemed like a boring data post (membership breakdowns for Pilates studios) into their highest performing carousel post ever.
And the results? 28,556 views (and counting), 89% were non‑followers, 71 new follows and 394 profile visits.
If you’re ready to stop guessing what “works”, and actually get your content to work, you’re going to want to read this.

Chloe & Vicki run a coaching business for Pilates studios. They were asked for “membership breakdown” statistics: what categories are most popular? What are studios actually doing?
Numbers. Sounds dry.
Instead of posting a standard pie chart and hoping for the best, they asked: How do we make this interesting? What’s the angle?
“I knew I wanted to do a pie chart… and I was presented with a very boring pie chart.”
They leaned into their audience’s curiosity (studio owners want behind‑the‑scenes data), and asked the question:
“As a Pilates studio owner … have you ever wondered what membership performance really looks like inside another studio?”
That simple hook called out the audience and teased the insight.
Tip: Look at your data.
Ask: What’s surprising here? What would my audience actually want to know? Then turn it into a question or bold statement.
That’s the story you build your visuals around.

Great story = good. Great design = better.
Here’s what they did:
“Even just using the arrows … instead of just… naming and labeling… added a bit of play and almost movement to it.”
Structured it as a 3‑slide carousel:
Slide 1: Audience hook
Slide 2: The visual/data
Slide 3: The takeaway/strategy
Tip: You don’t need fancy motion graphics.
You just need strong structure: a hook slide, a visual/data slide, a coaching or action slide. Use your brand colour, font hierarchy, visual cues (arrows, icons) and you’ll elevate what could otherwise be “just another chart”.

This post wasn’t just pretty… it was purposeful.
Chloe & Vicki combined:
That alignment is what makes posts convert. Not just reach. But engagement, profiles visited, leads started.
“We’ve had 71 follows just purely from this post alone.”
“394 profile visits.”
These are the warm people now ready to take the next step.
Tip: For your next post, ask yourself:

Here are the stats:
“So this post … is still climbing … it hasn’t plateaued or gone down yet.”
A few observations:
If you’ve been under the impression that only Reels get reach now… let this episode be your friendly reminder that strategy + design still wins.
