Setting your business up with the KEY graphics your biz needs can be so helpful to rolling things out quickly and easily – to not get in your own way when it comes time to put yourself out there!
These are the 5 most important graphics I see almost all business owners needing! Listen or watch for more at the links above and below this article.
Let’s unpack each one and the key things you need to think about whilst creating.
1. Brand and style guide
First things first, you need a brand style guide that includes your logo, brand fonts, colors, style, and photography choices. This guide will be your best friend in creating all your graphics, so make sure it looks great in real-life designs, not just on paper.
2. Social media templates
Next up, you need to design social media templates that support your social media strategy. This includes everything from testimonials to educational to promotional posts. Use your brand style guide as your foundation and create templates that’ll support you practically with what you actually want to post.
3. Facebook cover
Thirdly, you need a standout social media cover or display picture that attracts potential customers. Whether it’s for Facebook or LinkedIn, make sure it effectively conveys what your business does and who it serves so that a potential lead can understand what you in the first moment they stumble onto your Facebook. Keep it professional, branded and don’t add anything irrelevant.
4. Email signature
Fourth on our list is a functional email signature. Do NOT use a full image you’ve made in Canva as your email signature. Sure, it can be pretty, but make sure it’s readable and clickable, even on mobile devices. Use an email signature generator to add text for your name and website, and you’re good to go!
5. Website/online presence
Last but not least, you need an online presence in the form of a website. Start with a style guide, and then create graphics like banners, branded iamges and favicons that use your unique brand. This will save you time and create consistency.
